Direct Recipient definition

Direct Recipient means an Applicant that applies and receives a Federal Grant award directly from a federal agency. Direct Recipient Projects are typically administered by the awarding federal agency. Direct Recipients are generally responsible for all federal requirements related to procurement, clearances, reporting, paying invoices up front and requesting reimbursement for those payments from the awarding federal agency and AZ SMART, and all other aspects of a federal discretionary grant project.

More Definitions of Direct Recipient

Direct Recipient means the decedent’s probate estate and any other person who receives property included in the elective estate by transfer from the decedent, including transfers described in s. 732.2035(8), by right of survivorship, or by bene- ficiary designation under a governing instrument. For this purpose, a beneficiary of an insurance policy on the decedent’s life, the net cash surrender value of which is included in the elective estate, is treated as having received property included in the elective estate. In the case of property held in trust, “direct recipient” includes the trustee but excludes the beneficiaries of the trust.
Direct Recipient means an eligible entity authorized by a designated recipient or state to receive Urbanized Area Formula Program funds directly from FTA. A state or designated recipient may authorize another public entity to be a “direct recipient” for Section 5307 funds. A direct recipient isa public entity that is legally eligible under federal transit law to apply for and receive grants directly from FTA.
