Diameter at standard height definition
Diameter at standard height or “DSH,” means the diameter of a tree measured at 4.5 feet above natural grade, except as specified below. The diameter shall be calculated by using the following formula: diameter = circumference/3.14.
Diameter at standard height means the diameter of a tree trunk measured at four and one-half feet above average grade. Diameter at standard height is used in determining the diameter of existing trees.
Diameter at standard height. (DSH) means the diameter of a tree measured at fifty four (54) inches above finish grade.
