Detainees definition

Detainees means any person detained at the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma, Washington.
Detainees means Children and Young People held in custody or confinement; "Detention and Training Order (DTO)" sentences a Young Person to custody. It can be given to 12- to 17-year-olds. The length of the sentence can be between four months and two years. The first half of the sentence is spent in custody while the second half is spent in the community under the supervision of the youth offending team (YOT)
Detainees shall refer to individualssentenced to, incarcerated in, detained at, or otherwise confined at Shelby County Jail.

Examples of Detainees in a sentence

  • Detainees and prisoners will be released from among categories detailed in Annex VII (Release of Palestinian Prisoners and Detainees).

  • Nothing in this section shall be deemed to limit the County’s right to refuse to accept City Detainees for confinement in Jail when they are deemed by the County to be in need of urgent medical or psychological care, nor to return custody of such inmates back to the City if the City Detainee is admitted to the hospital or psychiatric facility.

  • Detainees are screened upon arrival for “high risk” sexual assaultive and sexual victimization potential and housed and counseled accordingly.

  • Detainees with disabilities are provided adequate facilities, support, and assistance needed for self-care and personal hygiene.

  • Detainees are informed about the program in facility orientation and the detainee handbook (or equivalent).

  • Detainees receive, at a minimum: • One uniform shirt and one pair of uniform pants or one jumpsuit.

  • Detainees are provided with basic personal hygiene items such as water, soap, toilet paper, cups for water, feminine hygiene items, diapers and wipes.

  • Detainees in SMUs are personally observed at least every 30 minutes in an irregular schedule and more often when warranted for some cases (violent, mentally disordered, bizarre behavior, suicidal).
