Despatch hand definition

Despatch hand means a worker who is substantially engaged in handling or receiving goods in or from departments for despatch or who passes them over to the packing room, or prepares and hands over packages to carters for delivery and who, if required, shall be responsible for the proper checking off of such packages and for the proper branding and marking thereof, and keeping necessary records, such as rail notes and cart notes.
