Design-Builder’s Fee definition

Design-Builder’s Fee means the compensation paid to the Design-Builder for salaries and other mandatory or customary compensation of the Design-Builder's employees at its principle and branch offices except employees listed in Subparagraph 8.2.2, general and administrative expenses of the Design-Builder's principal and branch offices other than the field office, and the Design-Builder's capital expenses, including interest on the Design-Builder's capital employed for the Work, and profit.
Design-Builder’s Fee shall have the meaning given in Section 2.12 of this Pricing Amendment. “Design-Builder’s Field Work” shall mean customary Work of a minor nature not feasible to SAMPLE Subcontract, arising from: exclusions by a Subcontractor not resolved during Subcontract buy-out, deviations in Work of Subcontractors that are not Defective Work, unaccounted-for complexity of Work coordination, and other similar reasons typical in the industry; provided, however, Design-Builder reasonably determines self-performing such Work is in Owner’s best interests, obtains Owner Partieswritten consent prior to executing such Work, and the cost of such Work is separately identified in Design-Builder’s Applications for Payment.
Design-Builder’s Fee shall have the meaning given in Section 2.12 of this Pricing Amendment.

Examples of Design-Builder’s Fee in a sentence

  • The Design-Builder’s Fee and the Construction Contingency shall be eliminated from the Construction Budget and, to the extent they have been paid, shall be included in the Lump Sum Fee.

  • The Design-Builder’s Fee can only be changed by a written Change Order executed by both parties.

  • The Design-Builder’s Fee shall be paid monthly in proportion to the services actually performed.

  • Design-Builder shall submit not later than the tenth (10th) day of any month an invoice for the proportionate part of the Design-Builder’s Fee that represents the services actually performed for the period subsequent to the period covered by any prior invoice to the end of the preceding month.

  • Where the Change Order Sum is so calculated, the sum of (i) the Contract Sum payable to the Trade Contractor or Trade Supplier plus (ii) the Design-Builder's Estimated Costs plus (iii) Construction Contingency plus (iv) Design-Builder’s Fee shall be the maximum sum that Owner shall be obligated to pay Design-Builder for the performance of the Work encompassed by the Component Change Order.

  • The Design Builder acknowledges and agrees that the GMP includes sums for overhead and Design-Builder’s Fee on account of all assumptions.

  • The Owner will pay the Design-Builder an amount established as the Design-Builder’s Fee, plus the actual Construction Overhead Costs and the actual Cost of the Work as described herein, but not to exceed, in any event or for any reason, the Guaranteed Maximum Price.

  • Unpaid amounts from these GMP budget categories shall be returned to the Owner, provided however, that Design-Builder may retain within the Lump Sum Price the reasonable amounts required for completion of the Program Manager services and for the reasonable Design-Builder’s Fee to be earned through completion of the Project.

  • All costs not identified in Articles 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 shall be considered a part of the Design-Builder’s Fee.

  • The Design-Builder’s Fee Percentage, which shall be multiplied by the Cost of the Work for Phase 1.


More Definitions of Design-Builder’s Fee

Design-Builder’s Fee or “Fee” means a fixed percentage mark-up equal to ______ percent (____%) applied to portions of the Cost of Work as specified in Article 8.
Design-Builder’s Fee means the percentage fee on the Cost of the Work for all overhead and profit on direct costs.
Design-Builder’s Fee means the applicable amount for Phase 1A, Phase 1B, and Phase 2, respectively, as specified in the Project Specific Information.
