Derate definition

Derate means an event or condition which causes the Net Energy Output to be less than [**] of the associated Buyer’s Capacity Amount (excluding the CT Capacity), or causes the MISO FinSched to be less than [**] of the associated Buyer’s Capacity Amount (excluding the CT Capacity), unless such event or condition resulting in a reduction in the MISO FinSched was agreed to by Buyer, excluding any ramp up or ramp down of the Facilities associated with Seller’s nuclear fuel management procedures scheduled in accordance with Section 5.1.
Derate means a circumstance due to physical or operational constraints that results in reduced Available Capability of the Unit(s) which without such reduction could reasonably be expected to affect the safety of the Unit(s), the environment, personnel working at the Unit or the public.
Derate means an event or condition which causes the Buyer's Entitlement of Net Energy Output to be less than ninety-five percent (95%) of the associated Buyer's Capacity Amount.

  • To develop the Measured Power Curve for each WTG, Seller shall use data for such WTG during periods when such WTG is in the operational state categorized as CTH excluding periods where the WTG’s operational state is categorized as ERSDTH, EFDTH, EMPTH, EPDTH, oEFDTH, oMPTH, oEPDTH, or Environmental Derate.

  • The Performance Index represents the efficiency of the WTG's conversion of the wind resource to electricity by comparing the calculated Expected Generation at the WTGs to the measured Actual Generation at the WTGs during Contact Hours excluding periods where the operational state is categorized as ERSDTH, oEFDTH, oEMPTH, oEPDTH or Environmental Derate.

  • Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, Seller may provide Buyer with Replacement Energy as set forth below in this Section 2.4(a) during a Scheduled Maintenance Outage or an Unscheduled Outage, but only to the extent of any associated Derate.

  • In the event of any Derate, Seller must notify the Dispatch Authority Function and the Balancing Authority Function telephonically of such Derate as soon as practicable after Seller becomes aware of the necessity or occurrence thereof (each, a “Derate Notice”), with written confirmation within 24 hours of such oral notice.

  • If the event or condition constituting the Derate is an Unscheduled Outage, Seller shall telephonically notify the Dispatch Authority Function of Seller’s election in accordance with Section 2.4(a)(iii) below (to provide or not to provide Replacement Energy) as soon as practicable but no later than the Notice Time on the day following the day the Derate commenced with confirmation (by email or facsimile) within 24 hours.

  • Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, Seller may provide Buyer with Replacement Energy and Replacement Capacity and/or Accredited Capacity from the Facility as set forth below in this Section 2.4 during a Derate with a duration of more than one (1) day, including a Derate caused by a Scheduled Maintenance Outage, a Summer Maintenance Outage, or any other scheduled outage of the Facility.

  • Two dimensional linear interpolation will be applied, as necessary, between the tables two closest Flight Leg, Derate and Utilization values.

  • During the course of development of a Derate, Seller shall provide frequent updates as to the magnitude and timing of actual and expected output changes of the Facility and such other information as may assist Buyer in assessing the reliability of output from the Facility.

  • Planned Derating Extension (DP): An extension of a Planned Derate (PD) beyond its estimated completion date.

  • During any ongoing Derate, Seller shall provide daily or more frequent updates to Buyer's Merchant Operations Center of the nature and expected duration of such Derate.

Derate or “Derating” means one of the OBD’s responses (along with operator warning and shutdown) to operating conditions including reducing horsepower in order to get the driver's attention so the driver can take action in order to avoid engine damage;

  • Moderate means violations that result in negative outcome and actual or potential harm for a resident.

  • Upset means an exceptional incident in which there is unintentional and temporary noncompliance with technology based permit effluent limitations because of factors beyond the reasonable control of the permittee. An upset does not include noncompliance to the extent caused by operational error, improperly designed treatment facilities, inadequate treatment facilities, lack of preventive maintenance, or careless or improper operation.

  • Degradation means a decrease in the useful life of the right-of-way caused by excavation in or disturbance of the right-of-way, resulting in the need to reconstruct such right-of-way earlier than would be required if the excavation or disturbance did not occur.

  • Nondegradation means the prevention of a significant change in water quality that lowers the quality of high-quality water for one or more parameters. Also, the prohibition of any increase in discharge that exceeds the limits established under or determined from a permit or approval issued by the Department prior to April 29, 1993.

  • Generator to Load Distribution Factor or “GLDF” shall mean a generator’s impact on a Flowgate while serving load in that generator’s Balancing Authority Area.
