The deposits exceeding the insured or registered limits are public funds covered by the State of Indiana Public Deposit Fund.
Any funds given or provided for the purpose of supplying services to any patient in any licensed facility, and any funds otherwise received and held from, for or on behalf of any such resident, shall be deposited by the director or other proper officer of the licensed facility to the credit of that patient in an account which shall be known as the Resident's Personal Deposit Fund.
