dependent parents definition
dependent parents in relation to a member, means the legal or customary parents of the member;
dependent parents means your parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, great-grandparents or great-grandparents-in-law (whether natural, step or adoptive), who are:
dependent parents means the parent of the volunteer emergency worker who is receiving at least one-half of his or her support from the volunteer emergency worker in the 12-month period immediately preceding the volunteer emergency worker’s death in the course of volunteer service. The dependency of such a parent will be considered terminated by marriage of the parent subsequent to the death of the volunteer emergency worker.
