Department Head or equivalent refers to the Department Head of a department in departmentalized faculties or to the equivalent position such as associate ▇▇▇▇, assistant ▇▇▇▇, or other in non-departmentalized faculties. In some faculties, this may also include the graduate program director;

Examples of Department Head or equivalent in a sentence

  • The Department Head or equivalent shall re-assess the performance of a Sessional Appointee in the same manner as above after every eight (8) HCE or two (2) years, whichever comes first.

  • A Graduate Assistantship (Non-Teaching) is an appointment made out of funds normally held by the Department Head or equivalent to assist departments and/or academic staff with research responsibilities.

  • Notwithstanding Article 23.5, where the Department Head or equivalent has decided to offer a Sessional Appointment and wishes to hire a Sessional appointee who meets all of the eligibility requirements under Article 23.12, and where there are no other sessional appointees who have met the 7HCE requirement for the right of first refusal, the Department Head or equivalent need not post the position.

  • The Department Head or equivalent must respond in writing within seven (7) business days of being informed of the grievance.

  • The results of these ratings, along with any peer evaluations and other materials pertinent to the Sessional Instructor’s performance of teaching or other duties, including materials submitted by the Sessional Instructor, shall be provided to the Sessional Instructor and Department Head or equivalent and retained in the Department, following as closely as possible the practice for Continuing academic staff in the unit.

  • The employee will also submit a completed Telework Request and Certification Form acknowledging the employee’s obligations and responsibilities under the Telework policy, the scheduled Telework day(s), the term of the arrangement, and a description of the employee’s Telework duties and tasks, and hours of work, that shall be signed by the employee and his or her supervisor, and the Department Head or equivalent.
