Delayed sentence means a procedure by which the defendant is found guilty of a crime, whether upon a verdict or plea of guilty or upon a plea of nolo contendere, and is sentenced to a term of imprisonment for which the date to begin serving the imprisonment term is suspended up to twelve (12) months, and the defendant is released by the court subject to conditional requirements which must be completed by the date set to begin serving the term of imprisonment; and
