Deemed competency definition
Deemed competency means that those individuals who, prior to January 1, 1989, completed a nurse aide training program that met the State's requirements at the time it was offered, may be determined to have completed a training and competency evaluation program and be certified as competent.
Deemed competency means that an individual is deemed to be competent if the individual completed a state- approved nursing assistant training program on or before July 1, 1989.
