Decategorization definition

Decategorization means an initiative established pursuant to Iowa Code section 232.188 that is designed to redirect child welfare and juvenile justice funding to services that are more preventive, family-centered, and community-based in order to reduce use of more restrictive approaches.

Examples of Decategorization in a sentence

  • The Contractor is expected to support community-based efforts to build better interfaces with agencies, such as: (i) school districts; (ii) area education agencies, (iii) Decategorization Boards; (iv) MHDS regions; (v) local public health entities; (vi) job training, placement and vocational service agencies; (vii) judicial districts; and (viii) the Iowa Department of Corrections.

  • The Decategorization Director will complete a review with the Contract Manager, or designee, to ensure the Contractor is in compliance with completion of Contractor's responsibilities as set out in the Scope of Work as well as compliance with the general terms, conditions and requirements as evidence by the completion of the Monitoring of General Contract Compliance Form.
