Debtor Prison Class definition

Debtor Prison Class means all persons who were, at any time since August 9, 2011 to November 14, 2022, held in jail by or on behalf of the City of St. ▇▇▇ for nonpayment of a monetary sum arising out of a Municipal Ordinance Violation, excluding persons who were held in the St. ▇▇▇ jail solely on behalf of the City of Normandy and/or the City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Excluded from the Debtor Prison Class are Defendant, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, and directors; all Debtor Prison Class members who make a timely election to be excluded by opting-out; and all judges and judicial referees assigned to these proceedings and their immediate family members.

Examples of Debtor Prison Class in a sentence

  • Each member of the Debtor Prison Class and/or Jailed Class is barred and permanently enjoined from bringing on behalf of themselves, or through any person purporting to act on their behalf or purporting to assert a claim under or through them, any of the Released Claims against Defendant in any forum, action, or proceeding of any kind.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, it is agreed by the Parties that a Settlement Class Member may be a member of the Jailed Class, the Debtor Prison Class, or both.

  • Calculate the total number of hours spent in jail by Settlement Class Members in the Debtor Prison Class, except that hours for which Settlement Class Members were held in jail on behalf of the City of Normandy and/or the City of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be excluded.

  • After the end of the Claims Period, the Settlement Administrator shall make a list of all Valid Claims by Settlement Class Members in the Debtor Prison Class and the Jailed Class, respectively, and shall calculate the total number of compensable hours for each Class (as modified by Subparagraph 97.d.iii.1 below for the Debtor Prison Class and Subparagraph 97.d.iv.1 below for the Jailed Class).

  • This results in a Debtor Prison Class Member Payment for each Settlement Class Member in the Debtor Prison Class.

  • If a person is a member of both the Injunctive Class and either or both the Jailed Class and Debtor Prison Class, this Section shall not affect their rights as a member of such other Class (Jailed Class or Debtor Prison Class).

  • The total of the Debtor Prison Class Member Payment and Jailed Class Member Payment due to each Settlement Class Member is the total Settlement Class Member Payment.

  • In addition, a Settlement Class Member may qualify for both a Jailed Class Member Payment and a Debtor Prison Class Member Payment.
