Deadhead Hours definition

Deadhead Hours means the vehicle hours of operation incurred in non-Revenue Service in support of Revenue Service (i.e., hours from the garage to the beginning of a route).
Deadhead Hours means the hours, or portions of an hour, that a vehicle travels when out of revenue service. Deadhead Hours include leaving or returning to the garage or yard facility; and when released by the dispatcher; provided, however, that the time a vehicle travels from the last drop-off prior to a meal break to the start of the meal break and from the end of a meal break to the first pickup after a meal break shall not be considered Deadhead Hours.
Deadhead Hours means the measurement of time (in hours) during any time a vehicle is traveling from its garage or yard facility to the first scheduled pick- up time point, or any time the vehicle is traveling from the last scheduled drop-off time point to its garage or yard facility, or interline deadhead (i.e., the time required to reposition the bus for the next trip in revenue service).

Deadhead Hours means the hours that paratransit vehicles are operated on route from a dispatching point to the first passenger pick-up point and from the last passenger drop-off point to the dispatch location. The definition of Deadhead Hours excludes time when the vehicles are engaged in refueling, vehicle maintenance testing or operator training (when not also performing revenue service) or for scheduled operator time off (e.g., lunch, rest breaks and out of service).
