In the event that MCOs and/or DDPR determine that funds were paid which were not provided for under this Agreement or the applicable Government Program, DDPR may recover the amounts owed by way of offset or recoupment from current or future amounts due to client.
DDPR has entered into agreement(s) with one or more Manage Care Organizations (MCO), as dental health care benefits administrator, to provide covered dental services (“Covered Services”) for qualified and registered Enrollees of the Puerto Rico Government Health Plan (“GHP” or “Program”), under Law No. 72 of September 7, 1993 of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as amended (”Law 72”).
DDPR may also terminate both the Dentist Agreement and participation in the Program for cause if there is reason to do so under the Dentist Agreement.
Participating Dentist understands and agrees that DDPR may share information of Dentist with MCOs, ASES and/or government officials having jurisdiction over the Program (i.e. credentialing information, business practice/locations, etc.).
DDPR uses conciliation and arbitration and has an excellent record of settling disputes in a fair manner.
The terms and conditions of this Amendment shall only apply to Enrollees in the Program and shall not affect any patients under any other dental contract or program with DDPR.
DDPR may not terminate Dentist’s participation in the Program without cause.
The Delegated Services Agreement between MCOs and DDPR and the State Contract are incorporated herein by reference and shall be the guiding and controlling document when interpreting the terms of this Amendment.
