Day services definition

Day services means care, assistance, and supervision of an individual who is older, as defined in these rules, who does not stay overnight.
Day services. ’ means the range of non-residential services provided to persons by organizations which receive funding from the state including, but not limited to, community work services, adult day treatment, supported employment and elderly enrichment.

Examples of Day services in a sentence

  • Day services and supports that offer opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience and actively participate in valued adult roles in the community.

  • Day Intensive and Day Rehabilitative Services (CYFS) Day services are offered in school/community settings and as enhanced treatment services in residential facilities for the most severely emotionally disturbed children and youth who meet medical necessity.

  • Day services and supports, including early intervention services, may also include the administration of nutrition or fluids through gastrostomy tubes, if administered by a person authorized pursuant to section 27-10.5-103 (2)(i) and supervised by a licensed nurse or physician.

  • Meaningful Day services with the exception of Supported Employment and Employment Services are limited to 40 hours per week.

  • Beginning July 2019, these services will be provided on an hourly basis providing new opportunities and flexibility for participants to receive various Meaningful Day services to meet their individualized goals on the same day.
