Day Care Procedure definition

Day Care Procedure means a medical treatment or a surgical procedure carried out by a Medical Practitioner and which due to advancements in medical technology:
Day Care Procedure means the course of medical treatment or surgical procedure carried out in a Hospital which is fully equipped with advanced technology and specialised infrastructure for the listed procedure. The procedure must require Hospitalisation for less than 24 hours and must be on written advice of Medical Practitioner. The requirement of minimum beds of the Hospital definition will be waived provided other conditions are met.
Day Care Procedure means a patient who needs the use of a recovery facility for a surgical and medical procedure as stipulated in Provision 2.1.12 on a pre-plan basis at the Hospital/ Specialist clinic (but not for overnight stay).

  • We will pay the Sum Insured specified in the of Policy Schedule/ Certificate Insurance for this Benefit if an Insured Person undergoes a Day Care Procedure as an inpatient for less than 24 hours in a Hospital or Day Care Centreduring the Policy Period.

  • Consultation that is a follow-up care after discharge from Hospital or Day Care Procedure for surgical or non-surgical Hospital stay, which is covered under the Basic Policy is excluded.
