Data Processing Gateway (DPG) Unit definition
Data Processing Gateway (DPG) Unit means equipment and software installed by a Generator or Load Participant that can interface to the ISO via the Energy Communications Network (ECN), or via a secured Internet connection, as a means for providing required telemetry values from the Generating Unit(s) or Load Participant to the ISO. The equipment and software implements TCP/IP DNP 3.0 Subset Level 1 protocol and conforms to ISO X.509v3 security mechanisms and protocols.
