Data Collection Agent definition

Data Collection Agent or “DCA” means the person appointed by the BCMB for the purpose of collecting and analyzing information about the beverage containersystem in Alberta and reporting on that information;
Data Collection Agent means any software program, including any application; created, licensed or distributed, directly or through a Third Party, by respondent; installed on consumers’ computers, whether as a standalone product or as a feature of another product; and used to record, or transmit information about any activity occurring on that computer, unless: (a) the activity involves transmission of information related to the configuration of the software program or application itself; (b) the transmission is limited to information about whether the program is functioning as intended; or (c) the activity involves a consumer’s interactions with respondent’s websites and/or forms. The Compete Toolbar and the Consumer Input Panel software, for example, are both Data Collection Agents.
Data Collection Agent. (“DCA”) refers to an HP Tool required to provide MPS.

Collection agency includes a person that uses a fictitious name or the name of another in the collection or repossession of claims to convey to the debtor that a third person is collecting or repossessing or has been employed to collect or repossess the claim.
