Customs Areas definition

Customs Areas means the areas where the customs authorities exercise their activities as well as areas where the customs authorities exercise direct and indirect control or supervision of the relevant affairs.

  • customs area means the area of a customs station and includes any area in which imported goods or export goods are ordinarily kept before clearance by customs authorities;

  • customs airport means any airport declared under section 9 to be a customs- airport;

  • customs territory means the territory of Namibia, including its territorial waters and its airspace;

  • Service Areas means those areas within the Building used for stairs, elevator shafts, flues, vents, stacks, pipe shafts and other vertical penetrations (but shall not include any such areas for the exclusive use of a particular tenant).

  • customs duty , subject to subsection (3), means any duty leviable under Schedule 1 (except Parts 4 and 5 thereof) or under Schedule 2 on goods imported into Namibia, and “duty” has a corresponding meaning;
