Customer Focus in the County Council always means starting from the residents' perspective. It is much more than how quickly the phone is answered or how good the website is. Customer Focus means we put our residents (both as service users and council tax payers) at the heart of our service planning and delivery. This doesn't mean never saying "no" - we have limited resources - but it does mean making the very best of the resource we've got and always aiming to meet or exceed customer expectations. The Council needs to have a more integrated approach to each citizen, recognising that individuals are likely to receive services from more than one department. Customer Focus also means we treat all our residents with respect, ensuring we communicate and consult with them effectively.
