Custom Adoption definition

Custom Adoption means a traditional practice recognized by the community of Couchiching First Nation and within the Anishinaabe way which gives a child a permanent relationship with someone other than the child’s birth parent(s).
Custom Adoption means an adoption recognized by the cultural practice of Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek to raise a child, by a person who is not the child's parent, according to the custom of the First Nation;
Custom Adoption means an adoption according to the historical practices of the O’Chiese First Nation and where Council, in its sole discretion will decide whether or not the Child was adopted by custom;
