Custodian Engineer definition

Custodian Engineer shall refer to the titles of Custodian and Custodian Engineer (both permanent andprovisional), as well as any successor job titles for these positions, unless otherwise specified.
Custodian Engineer means all persons in the appropriate unit employed by the School Board in such a position, but shall not include confidential employees, supervisory employees, essential employees, part-time employees whose services do not exceed 35% of the normal work week, employees who hold positions of a temporary or seasonal character for a period not in excess of 67 working days in any calendar year and emergency employees.

  • Defendants agree to adopt, implement, and maintain a recruitment program during the term of this Settlement Agreement that is designed to increase the number of qualified blacks, Hispanics, Asians and females that apply and are hired for Custodian and Custodian Engineer positions.

  • An employee holding a Boiler Operator certificate, and designated by the Board as a swing-shift or relief Custodian Engineer, shall be paid at the rate for a Boiler Operator.

  • Each year of employment will count toward the experience requirements in level, including time served as a permanent employee in the respective predecessor title to that level, except for years where a Custodian Engineer receives a less than satisfactory rating.

  • Periodic evaluations shall continue with two rating periods per year: At the end of each rating period, a Custodian Engineer will be evaluated by the Principal of his or her school in consultation with a Chancellor’s representative.

  • Information as to all accumulated leave balances will be given to each Custodian Engineer in writing at least once a year.

  • Custodian Engineers must inform his/her Principal and Deputy Director of Facilities whenever the Custodian Engineer leaves the building for any reason, during work hours.

  • The time accrued while working for a Custodian Engineer will be maintained in a separate bank and must be utilized after sick leave accrued while working for the Employer.

  • When a Custodian Engineer is paid as an individual while administratively assigned away from his building assignment or on terminal leave he shall be paid at the same annual rate as provided in Appendix “A,” Salary Schedule for his most current building assignment; except as set forth in Article XVI: Complaints and Grievances, Section 8.

  • Vacations shall be taken by the Custodian Engineer in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Administrative Employees, as presently established or as may hereafter be amended.
