Custodial Parent (CP) definition

Custodial Parent (CP) means the parent with legal custody of the child(ren) or who exercises physical custody of the child(ren), may be a parent, relative, legal guardian, or custodian appointed by a court.

Examples of Custodial Parent (CP) in a sentence

  • Exceptions: Non-Assistance case and the Custodial Parent (CP) requested DCS case closure: The Tribe will send current support and non-assistance arrears directly to the CP, and send state TANF arrears payments to DCS.

  • Child Support Case A collection of data associated with a particular child support order, court hearing, and/or request for IV-D services that typically includes data regarding a Custodial Parent (CP), Non-Custodial Parent (NCP), a Dependent(s) (DP) and/or presumed father.
