Current Appointment Date definition

Current Appointment Date means the most recent date the Employee commenced employment with a Participating Company at the time he or she incurs an Eligible Termination. If such Employee commenced employment with a Participating Company as the result of a transfer from or acquisition of a non-participating subsidiary or affiliate, then Current Appointment Date means the Employee’s most recent hire date with the transferred company or acquired non-participating subsidiary or affiliate. If this date is not available, then service will be based on the adjusted service date as defined in Section 402(e) of The Prudential Traditional Retirement Plan.
