The Pipeline Rules and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z662 specify how much ground cover must be on top of a pipeline.
All pipeline licensees must comply with the Pipeline Act, Pipeline Rules, AER directives, and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z662 to help ensure safety.

BTG Energy is of the opinion, acting reasonably, that none of the Pipeline Records are deficient such that they do not comply with the requirements of the Pipeline Rules (Alberta) and CSA Z662, Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems to an extent that BTG Energy and Captus GP are unable to make such declarations as are required to comply with the AER’s certification requirements for transfer of pipeline licenses.
