The Cultural Resource SME may determine that in-field observations—such as pedestrian archaeological inventory surveys, sample surveys, or architectural inventories—are appropriate and necessary to identify and evaluate historic properties in the APE and if so, the CRPM will authorize the conduct of such observations, inventories, and surveys.
