Critical Illnesses definition

Critical Illnesses means diseases/illnesses limited to the following:
Critical Illnesses means those critical illnesses that are defined in Appendix A attached to this policy document :
Critical Illnesses means illnesses the signs or symptoms of which commenced more than thirty (30) days (other than Critical Illness No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 which are subject to sixty (60) days) following the Issue Date, or the Commencement Date of this Policy, whichever is the later, and shall include either the diagnosis of any of the following illnesses or performance of any of the Covered Surgeries included below, being:

Examples of Critical Illnesses in a sentence

  • The Critical Illnesses and the conditions applicable to the same are more particularly described in Annexure IV.

  • The Company must be notified in writing within thirty (30) days from the date of diagnosis/actual happening of the surgery in respect of any of the Critical Illnesses covered under this rider.

  • Any Insured Event arising on account of or in connection with any Pre-Existing Illness/ Disease related to specified Critical Illnesses.

  • Any covered Critical Illnesses arising due to treatment undergone purely for cosmetic or psychological reasons to improve appearance.

  • This policy will pay the lump sum benefit up to the limit of benefit stated in the Schedule when the Insured Person is diagnosed as suffering from any one of the 20 covered Critical Illnesses listed below.

  • The expert opinion under this Optional Benefit shall be limited to Critical Illnesses as listed n Section II.A and shall not be valid for any medico legal purposes.

  • In the event of the Member being diagnosed with the first occurrence of any of the covered Critical Illnesses or Total Permanent Disability due to accident or sickness, the full or part of the Sum Assured shall be payable as monthly income in arrears over the Income Benefit Period.

  • Medical Expenses incurred for the listed Critical Illnesses diagnosed within 90 days of the commencement of the Policy.

  • If a critical illness is established as a consequence of a previously diagnosed critical illness covered by insurance, for the second critical illness, the Insurer shall be obliged to pay 50% of the sum insured stipulated in the Table of Critical Illnesses.

More Definitions of Critical Illnesses

Critical Illnesses means disease or incapacity as defined herein of which the symptoms first appear and is first diagnosed after the Waiting Period. A Critical Illness is considered “diagnosed” under this Policy only if You have been examined by one or more Physician(s) or Doctor(s), each of which is a certified specialist in respect of the disease or illness corresponding to the Critical Illness, and a written report(s) prepared by each Physician or Doctor or under his/her supervision which satisfies each and every diagnostic requirement specified in the Policy corresponding to that Critical Illness.
Critical Illnesses mean illnesses the signs or symptoms of which first commence more than 180 days following the Issue Date or Commencement Date or the date of any reinstatement of this Supplementary Contract, whichever is the latest, and shall include either the first diagnosis of any of the following illnesses or first performance of any of the covered surgeries stated below:
