Critical Electric Infrastructure definition

Critical Electric Infrastructure means a system or asset of the bulk power system, whether physical or virtual, the incapacity or destruction of which would negatively affect national security, economic security, public health or safety, or any combination of such matters.

Such term includes information that qualifies as critical energy infrastructure information under FERC's regulations.” (10 C.F.R. § 1004.13(d).) Exhibit E, section 1 provides requirements for Contractor and its subcontractors regarding confidential information in general. Critical Electric Infrastructure Information law provides exceptions to freedom-of-information and Public Records Act rules to protect CEII from disclosure.
