Crash Analysis. WGM Group has obtained traffic crash data from MDT for the time period starting June 30, 2002 and ending with the most current data available, approximately six years. A summary of the type, number, and location of crashes has been provided to MDT. Expand the crash analysis to include a discussion of existing crash trends and how these trends will be addressed by the proposed project. This discussion will be included in the project traffic report. Traffic Report – Summarize the project traffic volumes, capacity analysis, modeling, and crash analysis in a report for submittal to MDT in accordance with the Systems Impact Process requirements. Consistent with the methodology and approach to date, this report will address current traffic volumes only, and will be limited to analysis of the AM and PM peak periods. It is anticipated that coordination with MDT and response to one (1) set of review comments will be necessary during the MDT review of the traffic report. Lighting Design – Perform lighting calculations to size fixture wattage, pole heights, arm lengths, spacing, etc. based on roadway classifications, MDT lighting standards, and City of Missoula lighting ordinance. A lighting analysis memo will be provided with lighting calculations and recommendations. Prepare final lighting design elements including service connections and metering, conduit and wiring layout, light pole locations, conduit fill and voltage drop calculations, and related quantities. HDR Engineering will assist with this element of the work. Traffic Signal Design – Design new traffic signals for the intersections of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Avenue and ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇. The intersection of ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Avenue and 6th Street is currently signalized, but it is anticipated that all signal equipment at this intersection will be removed and replaced with this project, with the exception of the traffic signal controller. MDT will provide some of the new signal equipment for these intersections. WGM will coordinate with MDT to ensure that the signal design is consistent with the equipment that they will provide. Signing and Pavement Markings – Inventory existing signs. Prepare design plans showing proposed signing and pavement marking configuration. Prepare signing and pavement marking details as necessary for the project. Identify signing and pavement marking quantities. ▇▇▇▇▇ Drainage Design – Based on video inspections of existing storm drain pipes the existing concrete storm drain in th...
