Countervalue definition

Countervalue means, in relation to a Notional Quantity of a Precious Metal, the amount which the Bank determines in its absolute discretion to be the amount in the agreed reference currency which would have been required to be paid to purchase that Notional Quantity (in the case of a purchase) of such Precious Metal from the market or the amount which would have been realisable from the market upon the sale of that Notional Quantity (in the case of a sale) of such Precious Metal, in each case, net of all expenses of sale;
Countervalue. Means, with respect to each "TRANSACTION", the amount in "PESOS", resulting from multiplying the amount of "CURRENCY" by the "EXCHANGE RATE". "BUSINESS DAY(S)" - The banking business day(s) both in the United Mexican States and in the market(s) in which the "CURRENCIES" object of the "TRANSACTION" are delivered or received.
Countervalue. Means, in regard to each Transaction, the amount in Pesos, that results from multiplying the amount of Currencies by the Exchange Rate.

  • Derived from each one of the Transactions, the parties will carry out spot sales and purchases of Foreign Currency, in which, depending on the nature in which they act, either as sellers, they will transfer the ownership of the Foreign Currency or, as buyers, they will pay for them the corresponding Countervalue, precisely on the Settlement Date and according to the Exchange Rate agreed for each one of the Transactions.
