Corporal/Detective definition

Corporal/Detective means a Member classified and paid as a Corporal/ Detective. "Corporal" and "Detective" shall mean the same.

Examples of Corporal/Detective in a sentence

  • The probationary period for a Corporal/Detective will be one year from the date of the commencement of the appointment and, after this period, on the recommendation of the Chief Constable the probationer Corporal/Detective will be promoted to the rank of Corporal/Detective.

  • The amount of the allowance, expressed as a rate per hour, will be based on one-half the difference between the daily rate of a First Class Constable and that of the Corporal/Detective rank.

  • Should no member holding the rank of Corporal/Detective assigned to the Investigation Section be eligible for promotion, the senior Detective assigned to the Investigation Section shall relieve the Sergeant.

  • A Corporal/Detective Corporal or Sergeant/Detective Sergeant reclassified to a lower classification as the result of surplus shall be given first consideration for reclassification to his/her former rank should openings occur at said former rank within eighteen (18) months of reclassification and provided he/she had performed satisfactorily at the higher rank and further provided he/she is otherwise qualified to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Should no Member holding the rank of Corporal/Detective assigned to CIS be eligible for promotion, the senior Detective assigned to CIS shall relieve the Sergeant.

  • The amount of the allowance, expressed as a rate per hour, will be based on one‐half the difference between the daily rate of a First Class Constable and that of the Corporal/Detective rank.

  • A Police Officer shall be eligible to sit for the Corporal/Detective promotional examination after completing four (4) continuous years of service in the rank of Police Officer immediately before the date of the written examination from the date of initial commission with APD.

  • An Officer temporarily filling the position of Corporal/Detective; B.

  • Declaration of surplus shall be by rank for the Corporal/Detective Corporal and Sergeant/Detective Sergeant categories respectively.

  • Vacancies created after expiration of the current lists will be filled from a list resulting from a Corporal/Detective exam that will be administered on or before March 31, 2009.
