CORN LINE definition

CORN LINE refers to the inbred strain XXX, bred by the LICENSOR. CORN LINE includes, among other things, entire corn plants, seed, pollen, and other parts of the plants and/or plant tissue and the genetic material contained in these.

  • The Licensee may only isolate, sequence, or analyze proteins or genetic material (genes, RNA, or DNA) from the CORN LINE if the Licensee has obtained the written approval of the Licensor before carrying out these kinds of activities.

  • LICENSEE will pay to LICENSER royalties in the amount of 5,6% of the value of the annual seed sales of conventional HYBRID SEED CORN, calculated on the basis of BASE PRICE, times the proportion of CORN LINE in the hybrid formula.

  • In no event shall LICENSER be liable for any use by LICENSEE of CORN LINE and NEW CORN LINES or any loss, claim or damage which may rise from activities connected with the lines, made by LICENSEE or made against LICENSEE by any other party, except when caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

  • The CORN LINE may only be used in the ways expressly foreseen in this Agreement.

  • Although CORN LINE and associated information being supplied by LICENSER were developed following careful and comprehensive research, LICENSER makes no warranties as to the safety or title of CORN LINE nor as to the correctness of any passport or other data provided with CORN LINE.

  • LICENSEE may isolate, sequence, or analyse proteins or genetic material (genes, RNA or DNA) from CORN LINE and may use any biotechnology processes including, but not limited to, tissue culturing, mutagenesis, or transformation, for manipulation of CORN LINE under this Agreement only provided LICENSEE obtains written permission from LICENSER prior to all such activities.

  • The Parties shall decide in common about the inventorship and the further proceeding, taking into account the LICENSER contribution to the invention through the CORN LINE provided.

  • Neither does LICENSER make any warranties as to the quality, viability, or purity (genetic or mechanical) of the seed of CORN LINE being furnished.

  • Royalties on NEW CORN LINES shall be proportional to the average number of alleles of CORN LINE in these lines according to the pedigree, times 5,6% of the value of the annual seed sales of conventional HYBRID SEED CORN, calculated on the basis of BASE PRICE, times the proportion of NEW CORN LINES in the hybrid formula.
