Cook Grade 1 means an Employee who carries out basic cooking (of breakfasts and snacks), baking, pastry cooking or butchering and who does not possess any formal qualifications and who assists other Cooks. A Cook Grade 1 shall be appropriately trained within 12 months from commencement of employment and appointment to Cook Grade 2 shall be automatic upon successful assessment.
