Control or Controls definition

Control or Controls means, in relation to a corporation or a partnership, as the case may be: .1 the right to cast a majority of the votes that may be cast at a general meeting of the shareholders of a corporation; .2 the right to elect or appoint, directly or indirectly, a majority of the directors of a corporation; .3 to hold more than 50% of the interests of a partnership other than a limited partnership; and .4 to be the general partner of a limited partnership.

  • The terms "Control" or "Controls" as used in this Section 7.5 shall mean the power to directly or indirectly influence the direction, management or policies of Tenant or such other entity.

  • Control or Controls, including the related terms “controlled by” and “under common control with”, shall mean the power to direct the day-to-day management and policies of a Person (x) through the ownership, directly or indirectly, of not less than a majority of its voting securities, (y) through the right to designate or elect not less than a majority of the members of its board of directors or trustees or other Governing Body, or (z) by contract or otherwise.
