Control Gear definition

Control Gear means the lighting ballast, transformer or driver.
Control Gear means one or more devices that may or may not be physically integrated in a light source, intended to prepare the mains for the electric format required by one or more specific light sources within boundary conditions set by electric safety and electromagnetic compatibility. It may include transforming the supply and starting voltage, limiting operational and preheating current, preventing cold starting, correcting the power factor and/or reducing radio interference
Control Gear means components required to control the electrical operation of the lamp(s). Control gear may also include means for transforming the supply voltage, correcting the power factor and, either alone or in combination with a starting device, provide the necessary conditions for starting the lamp(s).

  • All material shall comply with Eskom standards 240-56227516 - LV Switchgear Control Gear Assembly Associated Equipment for Voltage 1000V AC and 1500V Standard.

  • In addition, providing the warranty registration card is returned as noted above, the following lift’s power train parts are warranted for five (5) years or 15,000 cycles: Cable, Cylinder, Flow Control, Gear Box, Motor, Pump, Hydraulic Hoses and Fittings.

  • For all LV switchgear that form part of the scope, the Contractor is to comply to the following standards - • LV Switchgear and Control Gear Assemblies and Associated Equipment for Voltage up to and including 1000V AC and 1500V DC Standard (240-56227516).

Related to Control Gear

  • Control equipment means equipment necessary for the setting and/or unsetting of an immobilizer.

  • Control Group means the Company and its Affiliates.

  • Control Affiliate of a Person means (a) any other Person directly or indirectly owning, controlling, or holding with power to vote, greater than 50% of the outstanding voting securities of such Person, (b) any other Person greater than 50% of whose outstanding voting securities are directly or indirectly owned, controlled, or held with power to vote, by such Person, or (c) any Person directly or indirectly controlling, controlled by, or under common control with, such other Person. For purposes of this defined term, “control” means the power to exercise a controlling influence over the management or policies of a company, and “controlling” and “controlled” shall have correlative meanings.

  • Control means the possession, directly or indirectly, of the power to direct or cause the direction of the management or policies of a Person, whether through the ability to exercise voting power, by contract or otherwise. “Controlling” and “Controlled” have meanings correlative thereto.

  • Control measure means any best management practice or stormwater facility, or other method used to minimize the discharge of pollutants to state waters.
