Contract solicitation definition

Contract solicitation means a request for proposals, request for bids, request for qualifications, or any other request, whether written or verbal, for purposes of entering into a contract. The term does not include a request to enter into a contract that is based on a prior City contract that previously went through a competitive contracting process if the prior contract was subject to the restrictions and the contractor fulfilled its obligations under this Section and Charter Section 470(c)(12).
