The Resident, except under the conditions listed under Cancellations and Contract Release, cannot terminate this Contract.

Contract terminations will not result in charges for the full contract term for students with approved Housing Contract Release Applications (may result in a prorated return).
When a student withdraws (exits) from the university or if a Contract Release is granted, this contract may be suspended only for the time during which these conditions occur.
Any exception to these policies must be requested via the Live-On Requirement Exemption or Housing Contract Release Application.
Students may submit a request for release from their Housing Contract following the published Housing Contract Release policy and form.
Contract Release requests submitted during the final four weeks of each semester will not be granted.
Request for cancellation of this contract after moving into University Housing or after the applicable opening day of University Housing will require a Petition for Contract Release, and the student must show just cause for termination (major unforeseen circumstances).
Requests for contract release will only be granted when circumstances are determined by the Contract Release Committee to be sufficiently extenuating as to warrant cancellation.
