Contract Faculty definition

Contract Faculty is used in this Article to mean a unit member who is serving in a probationary status and has not yet been granted regular, full-time permanent status by the District. A contract faculty member may also be referred to as a “probationary” employee.

Contract Faculty or “Probationary Faculty” or “Tenure-Track Faculty” are synonymous terms and refer to a bargaining unit member who is employed in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Section 87605 or Subdivision (b) of Section 87608. A “Day” in this article is a “Business Day” – any day Monday through Friday on which the ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Joint Community College District administrative offices are open for business. “Evaluation Forms” refer to evaluation forms mutually agreed upon between the District and the Faculty Association to be used in the evaluation of a bargaining unit member and placed in the appendix. The District shall post all evaluation forms online.

Contract Faculty means faculty outside of the bargaining unit who are hired on a fixed term contract for 1-3 years at less than .50 FTE.

Examples of Contract Faculty in a sentence

  • Extended Contract Faculty Extended contract faculty shall be paid on a bi-weekly basis in equal installments over the contract year.

  • Unit Members who perform substitute credit teaching assignments during other intersessions shall be compensated according to the Regular and Contract Faculty Overload Teaching Salary Schedule (Appendix B).

  • Unit Members who teach other credit intersession assignments shall be compensated according to the Regular and Contract Faculty Overload Teaching Salary Schedule (Appendix B).

  • For their services as contract and regular faculty, Unit Members will be paid according to the Regular and Contract Faculty Salary Schedule included as Appendix A.

  • Unit Members who teach other noncredit intersession assignments shall be compensated at the laboratory rate according to the Regular and Contract Faculty Overload Teaching Salary Schedule (Appendix B).

  • Unit Members who perform substitute noncredit teaching assignments during other intersessions shall be compensated at the laboratory rate according to the Regular and Contract Faculty Overload Teaching Salary Schedule (Appendix B).

  • Therefore the Parties hereby agree that a Contract Faculty member who is teaching in a northern Manitoba community in which they do not reside, pursuant to the Inter-Universities Services (IUS) agreement, shall be paid a Distance Allowance as set out in the 2006 schedule prepared by Inter-Universities Services, a copy of which is attached to this Letter of Understanding.

  • The College makes available an optional medical plan for faculty/Annual Contract Faculty (ACF) to select.

  • For special ballot voting as required for either Collective Agreement they shall vote as Contract Faculty only.

  • Extended Contract Faculty Extended contract faculty shall be paid in equal installments over the contract year.
