Continuous movement definition

Continuous movement means movement during all hours, day or night, on any day of the week except on a holiday; provided that “continuous movement” does not include movement during inclement weather, traffic hazards or other occurrences that affect the safe movement of vehicles on a highway;
Continuous movement means a movement between this railroad’s tracks and the designated location of receipt or delivery within the facility without any delay due to a condition of which the industry is responsible.

  • Continuous movement rates apply only when a shipment is one of two or more separate consecutive shipments tendered by Shipper and/or one or more Consignors designated by it and transported to one or more Consignees; provided, that where such shipment is a backhaul shipment under Paragraph 1(a), above, the rates shall be those applicable to backhaul shipments.
