Contact therapy definition

Contact therapy means irradiation of accessible lesions usually employing a very short source-skin distance and potentials of 40-50 KV.
Contact therapy means therapy in which the X-ray tube port is put in contact with, or within five centimeters of, the surface being treated.
Contact therapy means an x-ray system used for therapy with the x-ray tube port placed in contact with or within 5 centimeters of the surface being treated.

  • Contact therapy system means a therapeutic radiation machine with a short target to skin distance (TSD), usually less than five centimeters.
