Consult/Consultation definition
Consult/Consultation means to invite parties to comment and provide advice on a given matter, so that the comments or advice can be taken into account when making a decision.
Consult/Consultation means to share all relevant information in a timely manner with the intent to engage in meaningful discussions, allowing time for meaningful input and feedback, including sharing the reason for the decision, prior to implementation. It is understood that in the case of Ministry mandated initiatives the timing of the consultation process may be impacted. Statutory Responsibilities
Consult/Consultation in good faith means to communicate orally or in writing for the purpose of presenting and obtaining views or advising of intended actions; and, as distinguished from meeting and conferring in good faith regarding matters within the required scope of such meet and confer process, does not involve an exchange of proposals and counterproposals with an exclusively recognized employee organization in an endeavor to reach agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding and/or a Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual, nor is it subject to Article IV hereof.
