Construction Engineering and Inspection definition

Construction Engineering and Inspection or “CE&I” means the Project consultant who, on behalf of HART, will conduct the day-to-day oversight of this Agreement, and monitor and/or audit the Contractor’s construction, schedule and quality. The Project CE&I shall be HART’s point-of-contact with the Contractor. Where the Contract Documents reference “HART” for reporting and submissions, the Contractor shall always communicate and make submittals through the Project CE&I.

  • The Construction Engineering and Inspection Consultant (“CEI Consultant”) is the initial interpreter of the Contract Documents in all matters not concerning design intent.

  • The Engineer shall perform Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services, to assist the State in managing its construction operations before, during, and after the construction of improvements.

  • The Recipient may not permit the Engineer of Record to perform Construction, Engineering and Inspection services on the Project.

  • The Engineer shall be responsible for the Construction Engineering and Inspection of an assigned project to verify it is constructed in accordance with the construction plans, specifications, special specifications special provisions, standard drawings, and Department Material Specifications.

  • The Construction Engineering and Inspection contractor shall be approved by the COUNTY.

  • For projects requiring Preliminary Engineering (PE) and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I), the maximum amount of the total engineering costs to be paid from the ERBRF shall be fifteen percent (15%) of the amount of the successful construction bid.
