Constructability Review definition

Constructability Review means, the review of the design documents to ascertain whether the design of the Project as depicted in the Construction Documents, and the documents themselves: (i) accurately and completely reflects the District’s objectives as explained to the Architect by the District; (ii) are free of errors, omissions, conflicts or other deficiencies so that the Contractors can construct the Project as therein depicted without delays, disruptions, or additional costs.
Constructability Review. A process that integrates the contractor’s perspective into the Preconstruction Phase. By active involvement, the ▇▇▇▇ Contractor lends its expertise and experience to the design in order to identify potential problems and constructability issues. Construction Management Plan (CMP): A compilation of various resources that the ▇▇▇▇ Contractor is required to submit to the PM. The plan needs to address project milestone dates and project schedule; investigations; alternate strategies for fast-tracking/phasing construction; listing of all work segments to be constructed under multiple GMPs; agreements with subcontractors and suppliers; permitting strategy; safety and training programs; quality control; security; and a matrix that summarizes each Project Team member’s responsibilities and roles.
Constructability Review means the review of the design documents to ascertain whether the design of the Project as depicted in the Construction Documents, and the documents themselves: (i) accurately and completely reflects the District’s objectives as explained to the Architect and Pre- Construction Contractor by the District; and (ii) are free of errors, omissions, conflicts or other deficiencies so that the Contractor can construct the Project as therein depicted within the Project Budget and without delays, disruptions, or additional costs.

Examples of Constructability Review in a sentence

  • From the approved Schematic Design documents, Consultant shall prepare and present in writing, and at oral presentations, if requested, for approval by City, separate Design Development Documents, updated Project Development Schedules, updated Statements of Probable Construction Costs and a review of Constructability Review reports.

  • Constructability Review shall be conducted on the Final Program Document, 100% Schematic Design and 100% Design Development documents.

  • If necessary, City may coordinate Constructability Review meetings with some or all of the reviewers with Consultant present to discuss specific issues.

  • Constructability Review reports shall be conducted by the City and/or its consultants at design stages deemed necessary by the Project Manager.

  • Constructability Review shall be conducted on the 100% Design Development documents.

  • In addition to the Constructability Review process mentioned above, City reserves the right to conduct a Peer Review of the project documents at any design stage.

  • An acceptable and effective Constructability Review is a goal for the CM@Risk and the Owner.

  • The CM shall submit written Constructability Review comments (“Constructability Comments”) to the District Representative for review and consideration by the District.

  • Constructability Review shall be conducted on the 100% Schematic Design and 100% Design Development documents.

  • If indicated in the Task Order for an Assigned Project, upon completion of the CM’s Value Engineering and Constructability Reviews for the Assigned Project, the CM shall prepare the Final Estimate of Construction Costs which shall reflect modifications to the Design Documents resulting from District accepted Value Engineering Recommendations and District accepted Constructability Review Comments for the Assigned Project.
