Constructability definition

Constructability. Constructability is the creative, organized process of reviewing a project's drawings, specifications and other project documentation with a goal of eliminating design, detailing, and specification problems which might render the construction contract documents unbuildable or requiring extensive Addenda or Change Orders to make them buildable.

Constructability means, in the context of the Builder's obligations under Clause 3.2(a), that the Vessel is physically capable of being built on the basis of the Phase 2 Basic Design Package. However, confirmation by the Builder of such constructability shall not of itself give rise to any different obligation of the Builder under this Contract in relation to the performance characteristics of the Vessel than that which would otherwise have applied as part of the Works;
