Construct validity definition

Construct validity means the degree to which an instrument measures what it is intended to measure. When applied to an educator practice evaluation instrument, construct validity means that the dimensions and categories described by the instrument are appropriate for measuring whether or not the practice is successful and that the dimensions are associated with each other in the ways anticipated and possibly related to other generally-accepted measures of professional effectiveness. In addition, the instrument shall sample from a sufficient range of professional actions to fully represent the set of desirable behaviors. The establishment of such claim must be attested by knowledgeable practitioners or experts in the content.]
Construct validity means that the method must actually measure what you think it measures.
Construct validity means that the results of the research model generalize to the theory (Van de Ven, 2007). Threats to the construct validity of the present study could be the mono-method bias, since only interviewing is used to measure the variables.

Construct validity means establishing the appropriate measures for the constructs of the research. (Yin, 2003) In this research, multiple case studies are used, which might ensure construct validity (Aertsen, 2018). Construct validity is strengthened by the validation phase before surveying, sharing the draft case study report with interviewees and providing them possibility for feedback.
