Conservation Development definition

Conservation Development means the implementation of land development that seeks to protect biodiversity, farmland, ecosystem services, scenic landscapes, and historic and cultural resources, as well as help maintain the character of rural communities. This is achieved by identifying and permanently protecting Ecologically Sensitive Areas and other Green Space. Development is then built around the protected areas.
