Confinement/ Confined means admission to a Hospital for a minimum period of 24 hours as a registered in-patient, on the written advice of a Medical Practitioner.
Confinement/ Confined means admitted as a Registered In-Patient in a Hospital for medical treatment upon the recommendation of and under the regular care and attendance of a Registered Medical Practitioner which involves a continuous stay in the Hospital for a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours prior to the discharge from the Hospital.
Confinement/ Confined means an admission and continuous stay in a hospital, rehabilitation facility, or extended care facility for treatment of an injury caused by an accident. The stay must be under the advice and supervision of a doctor and must be no less than 24 consecutive hours. Also, the covered person must incur a daily charge for room and board for this stay. This does not include treatment in an emergency room, in an urgent care facility or as an outpatient.
