Concurring Party definition

Concurring Party. Any consulting party that has been invited by the federal agency (NSF) to concur in the PA. Concurring parties have the same rights with regard to seeking amendment or termination of the PA as other signatories. The refusal of any party invited to concur in the PA does not invalidate the document (36 CFR 800.16(d)). Consultation: the process of seeking, discussing, and considering the views of other participants, and, where feasible, seeking agreement with them regarding matters arising in the Section 106 process (36 CFR 800.16(f)).

Examples of Concurring Party in a sentence

  • If FTA invites an entity to become a Concurring Party, the entity may accept this status by agreeing in writing to the terms of this MOA and so notifying FTA.

  • A Consulting Party will be recognized by FEMA as a Signatory, Invited Signatory, or a Concurring Party starting on the date the Consulting Party signs this MOA as a Signatory, Invited Signatory, or Concurring Party and provides FEMA with a record of this signature.

  • FEMA shall provide each Signatory, Invited Signatory, and Concurring Party with a complete copy of the MOA including all executed signature pages.

  • If within thirty (30) calendar days an amendment cannot be reached, any Signatory, Invited Signatory or Concurring Party may terminate its participation in the Agreement upon written notification to the other Signatories, Invited Signatories, and Concurring Parties.

  • FTA will notify the Signatory(ies) and Consulting Parties of any entities who agree to become a Concurring Party.

  • Should a Signatory, Invited Signatory, or Concurring Party object to the implementation of the provisions of this PA, they shall notify in writing the Responsible Agencies, who will seek to resolve such objection through consultation.

Related to Concurring Party

  • Responding Party shall have the meaning set forth in Section 12.2 hereof.

  • Initiating Party means a party who gives notice under section 2 of this Schedule;
