Compounding Authority definition

Compounding Authority means the persons authorised by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 15 of the Act, namely;
Compounding Authority means the Principal Chief Commissioner of Central Excise or Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, as the case may be, having jurisdiction over the place where the offence under the Central Excise Act, 1944, have been or alleged to have been committed;
Compounding Authority means the Chief Commissioner of Customs, having jurisdiction over the place where the offence under the Customs Act, 1962, has been or alleged to have been committed;

More Definitions of Compounding Authority

Compounding Authority means an officer authorised by the Director General to be the compounding authority under sub- rule (1) of rule 50;
Compounding Authority means the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, having jurisdiction over the place where the offence under the Act, have been or alleged to have been committed;
